Abstract
The athetoid children with cerebral palsy are unable to reach forward for grasp while they hold their arms steady and particularly difficult to keep their heads still and look at what they are doing. They can¢¥t meet their hands in midline without flexion forward of 4 head and spine.
To encourage fine movements of fingers and hands involuntary movements of arms should be controlled. We have used the arm restrainer to limit shoulder motions so that good eye hand coordination and¢¥ bilateral hand coordination could be achieved with increased speed and accuracy.
